The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of spinal decompression therapy on idiopathic scoliosis. This study was nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. Subjects were divided into two group(experimental group=10, control group=10). Experimental group conducted decompression therapy for four-week. All Subjects were measured scoliosis curve, height and apparent leg length difference on before and after study. Sxoliosis curve were measured using Global Posture System equipment It was compared and analyzed using the Wilcoxon singed-rank test between before and after on experimental group. The Mann-Whithny test was used to compare the experimental group and control group, and the regression test using SPSS WIN ver 12 program. The result of this study were that scoliosis curve, height and apparent leg length difference were significantly significant(p<1.01) before and after on experimental group. The scoliosis curve, height and apparent leg length difference was statistically significant(p<.01) between the experimental group and control group This study showed that decompression therapy was effective on idiopathic scoliosis.
